![]() I hope you have a stock of extra 15mm BF bases, they are excellent for this scale:Ĭ. MBT guns are as fragile as German 2cm models.they bend if breath too hardĢ. A 4 x 6 table could really fill up fast with Battalions and bringġ. I painted a triple color Soviet Company in two hours after the primer dried to include flockingĤ. You cannot beat $40 for a company box set, I should have opposing battalions up for about the same cost as the BF startersĢ. For the price of just the Soviet box ai scooped up a T-72 company, A BMP company and an M1 Company with eight buildings.ġ. My recommendation is to go with 3mm scale buildings for modern (and 2mm for WW2), you can't go wrong with Simply 6 / Pico and Bay Area Yards together, and try a few of the others if you want to have more variety (and have more money to spend). So I elected to get micro armor instead of the Battlefront Team Yankee. I'd also recommend looking at the following blogs: Magister Militum are working on some 3mm stuff too, but doing Roman / Vauban stuff at the moment: =59613 Oh, and there's the architectural people too, here they are: There are a couple of shapeways people doing them also, I think, like this guy: (European) but I don't have any of them - way too expensive for me. I don't have anything by these people: so I can't comment on them. On the other side of the table or whatever they'd look ok though. Scale wise, I think they fit with the other 3mms ok, but the style is a bit too different for me I think. There's also Gamecraft, who do mdf type buildings at 3mm, but I don't have any of them to show you at the moment as they're packed away somewhere. That's a mosque and fort there in 2mm, so as you can see, they're smaller than the houses.įor 3mm buildings, the church and houses there are Simply 6 (now done by ), the larger apartment style buildings are by Bay Area Yards: They're very reasonably priced, and I have quite a few of them.
